Sidon declares environmental emergency: "

The Sidon municipality launched the opening of a new dump on Thursday and declared a state of environmental emergency in the southern coastal city.The head of the Sidon municipality Abd al-Rahman al-Bizri issued a statement following a meeting of the City Council. It included a number of decisions concerning the environmental crisis the city was facing.
